The APACRS·KSCRS Seoul 2011 Scientific Program Committee cordially invites you to submit abstracts for free paper, poster and video presentation. All abstracts should be submitted online.

Meeting Purposes
The purposes of the Pursuit of Perfection 2011 meeting include: participants sharing new surgical techniques; strengthening physicians’ surgical skills; receiving instruction regarding clinical issues; assessing current clinical research regarding surgical techniques, instrumentation, and outcomes; view and demonstrate cutting-edge ophthalmic equipment and supplies; and improve practice management knowledge and skills.
 
Presentation Length
Free paper oral presentations must be no longer than six minutes. Time limits will be strictly enforced.
 
Abstract Guidelines
All abstracts for free paper, poster and video presentations must be submitted in English using the online submission form on the APACRS·KSCRS Seoul 2011 Website before the deadline (30 May 2011). Abstracts submitted in hard-copy format will not be considered. The meeting organizers will not accept responsibility for any abstracts that have not been properly submitted according to the instructions. Submitters must indicate whether they are submitting a free paper, a poster or a video presentation by choosing the appropriate presentation type. All abstracts will initially be reviewed, graded, and accepted or declined by the Scientific Committee. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to determine whether a submission is accepted as a free paper, a poster or a video presentation. The Committee’s decision is final. Failure to present without prior notice to the Program Committee may influence future acceptance of presentations for APACRS meetings. All selected abstracts will be published in the final program and will appear exactly as submitted.
 
Financial interest
All financial interests MUST be disclosed on the first or second slide of all free paper presentations and at the beginning of all posters. Please check and respond to the financial interest section on the abstract submission page.
 
Format of the abstract for free paper and poster
The title must be brief, concise-how exactly are you defining “brief” and “concise” and in CAPITAL LETTERS. Limit: 140 characters including spaces. Authors: Please enter your name as you wish it to appear in the Final Program. The total number of authors for each paper or poster presentation may not exceed six. The abstract text can be no longer than 250 words, and no chart or graphics should be included in the abstract.
 
Free paper presentation
We ask that all presenters bring a copy of their presentation on a CD as a back-up for their free paper presentation. Only Windows XP and Vista and Windows 7 will be supported. All presentations MUST be checked with the onsite Audio/Visual team prior to the allocated presentation time.
 
E-Poster Guideline
  • e-Poster Preparation
    • There is no verbal presentation for e-Poster presentation.
    • Presentation file(s) in MS-PowerPoint which is made in English should be submitted by October 4, 2011.
    • The total capacity of file should be less than 200MB at most and total page should be limited to 10 pages..
    • If your presentation file contains movies or sounds, you are required to zip them into one folder to secure they work properly.
    • You can upload your file(s) from September 15 to October 4, 2011, through the conference website at ‘Abstract’.
    • Please check on all typographic and grammatical errors before uploading your file(s).
    • There is no specifically required format on the presentation file. However, please be sure to include the proper abstract title, author’s names, affiliation and country on your first slide.
    • Please be named your e-Poster file like as eposter_Gildong Hong (eposter_Autuor’s name).
  • How to upload e-Poster file
    • Please visit to the APACRS Storage Site

    • log in with ID and Password ( ID: apacrs / Password : 1013 )
    • Select ‘e-Poster’ in the 'Upload Only' folder and upload your file.
  • Equipment Information
    • The computers will be equipped and installed with following terms.
      • Desktop running MS-Office PowerPoint 2003/2007 operated in Windows XP (NOT Mac)
      • Only PowerPoint File (NOT pdf, doc, docx)
      • There are any special fonts in your presentation file, please upload the font with your e-poster PowerPoint file.
      • There are any video file in your presentation file, please convert as a WMV format. Any other format is not supported.
  • Security Policy
    • All presentation files will be kept safe before or after the presentations from any accesses. All the presentation files submitted to the APACRS-KSCRS Seoul 2011 will not be used for any matters apart from the e-Poster presentation. After the conference, all the files will be completely deleted from both in server and hard drives.
